Getting Started

I think I have decided to give a brief summary of our life and then take it from there.


Lets start with Parker James. Parker just turned 8 on March 2nd. WOW we are almost to double digits. I can't believe it how fast time flies, one day we are learning our colors and the next we are learning Bieber songs.  Parker is in the second grade and attends school at Mark Twain. He is a perfect student and last year he was in the top 3 spellers in the whole 1st grade. He excels at reading which is one of his most favorite things to do!! ( He gets that from Brad) He has a daily routine and we try not to stray from it. We had a lot of transition and inconsistency when we became a team, I was 17 when I got pregnant and we had to adjust and work out the kinks. When Parker started kindergarten we learned that there was something wrong with his eye sight which resulted in surgery. March 4th, 2009 was one of the scariest days of my life, watching your little man go into surgery when you can not hold their hand was one of the hardest things ever. In his right eye his retina was not attached, the surgery was to reattach it. After healing the scaring pulled the retina back up which that resulted in a second surgery on April 22, 2009. Second time did not work either. We went to a specialist and were giving details about a third. I decided not to do it. There was a lot of risk and only a 1% chance it would work. Parker now sees out of his left eye only and black and white with his right. Parker handled it so well and he adjusted and was positive the whole way through. Parker is a little entertainer and he like to sing and dace and put on a show, what a singer he is!!! So good!!!  Parker is a wolf scout and he takes Boy Scouts very seriously. He has learned a lot and he is super cute in his uniform.
